Dr. Bouraoui Kotti is a board-certified aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon practicing in Dubai, UAE (at Seline Clinic) and maintaining professional ties in Tunis, Tunisia. From a young age, he showed strong interest in science, physics, sculpture, and visual arts. Although he initially aspired to attend art school, he followed his parents’ advice and pursued medicine.
He graduated summa cum laude with a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical School of Tunis (El Manar University) in 2006. He completed his plastic surgery residency in Tunisia and advanced training in France, earning:
- Diploma from the French College of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (PRAS) in Paris (2007).
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in PRAS at the Medical School of Nice Côte d’Azur (2008).
- European Board Certification in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in Madeira (2008) — becoming the first native Arab and African non-European to achieve this distinction at the time.
Leadership and International Practice
From 2009 to 2014, Dr. Kotti served as Head of the Plastic Surgery Unit at the Salah Azaiz Institute, Tunisia’s national anti-cancer center.
In 2010, he became the first Tunisian National Secretary of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS), serving until 2018. He also served on the executive committee of the International Confederation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (ICPRAS) Humanitarian Section from 2011 to 2015.
Dr. Kotti expanded his practice to the UAE starting in 2014–2015. He has worked with leading institutions including Dubai Cosmetic Surgery, BR Medical Suites, Danat Al Emarat Hospital (Abu Dhabi), and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Hospital. As of 2025–2026, he practices primarily at Seline Clinic in Dubai, while continuing to see patients and maintain connections in Tunis.
Innovation, Research, and the “Breast Key” Concept
Dr. Kotti specializes in a wide range of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures for the face, body, and breasts. He is recognized as an innovator in breast surgery, with a strong emphasis on natural results guided by artistic proportions.
In 2020, he authored the book “The Hidden Stories of the Breast”, which presents his unique philosophy and techniques, including:
- Defining the golden ratios of the ideal breast using the Fibonacci Phi number.
- Introducing the “Breast Key” (BK) concept — a new algorithm for analyzing and treating breasts.
- Redefining the difference between a normal breast and a ptotic (sagging) breast.
- Promoting the concept of “normal natural ptosis” to reduce anxiety around age- and gravity-related changes.
This work is being developed into the Breast App, an AI-powered smart application designed to help women understand their breast anatomy, evolution, and personalized treatment options.
Dr. Kotti has served as a former editor and reviewer for the journals Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Plastic and Aesthetic Research. He is a frequent speaker, moderator, and organizer at international conferences.

Dr. Kotti was named “The Rising Star” in Plastic Surgery by the International Confederation of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in Beijing (2012).
